Hello all,

Poetry on a Friday. Wow. You are lucky things. I've had a bit of a disrupted couple of weeks so I'm not quite back to the usual routine, but I scribbled something down after seeing a set of flags on a block of flats the other day.

I thought - where do people even get flags nowadays? And the following started to form in my head.

I hope you enjoy. Please share and subscribe if you're not already on the list.

Flags

Act one

Flags pledge allegiance

Created on foreign shores

Cash transcends patriots

Act two

Your money flows overseas

For flags that profess

To show patriotism

Act three

I do love this place

I have flags up everywhere

I know where I am
